The actors and crew are from various age groups, schools and skill sets that have come together to create this delightful production of Stone Soup the Musical! We are eager to firmly establish the Cedar Park Theatre Company by contributing our talents to this production.
We want to thank Allen Robertson and Damon Brown for graciously allowing us and encouraging us to perform their script and music.
ALEX - Nick Davila
Nicholas Davila is a cool guy. This is his second show with the Cedar Park Theatre Company, and (hopefully) not his last. Nick’s most recent roles include Johnathan Waxman in Sight Unseen, Swing Male in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Lorin in Gloria. Nicholas would like to thank the gods of the Greek Pantheon, and his homies for keeping it real.
NADIA - Lindsay Dove
Lindsay is a junior at cedar park high school and has performed in 20 productions. She loves to sing and is a part of varsity choir and theatre at Cedar Park. She has been performing since she was in the third grade and plans to major in vocal performance later on. Her favorite role to play was Elle Woods in Legally Blonde the musical. She hopes you enjoy the show as much as she enjoyed being a part of it, along with the wonderful cast.
MAYOR IMPERIA - Ange Mitchell
Ange Mitchell is a Musical Theatre grad from Arizona State. Some favorite roles include playing Maria in both West Side Story and then again in the Sound of Music. For these roles she received an Arizoni Award for "Best Actress in a Musical" in 2004 and nomination for "Best Actress in a Musical" in 2005. Ange is thrilled to return to the stage after a 14 year hiatus and would like to thank the wonderful cast and Ms. Jerry Blake for this opportunity. She'd also like to give special thanks to her family for stepping up so she could return to her passion. Last but not least she'd like to say a special "thank you" to YOU for supporting YOUR local community theatre.
MOTHER HUGE of the HUGE FAMILY - Jacob Vaughan
Since CPTC’s first production, Jacob has been involved with the company for three years as Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Poppa in The Boy Who Cried Wolf, and now as Mama Huge in Stone Soup. Jacob is very thankful for the cast and crew and all the families who helped bring the show together and is excited to pursue other acting and music opportunities ahead of him!
TADD - Amani Alexander
Amani Alexander is a local Austinite. She will be graduating in 2020 with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Rider University’s Westminster College of the Arts as well as from the honors college with a focus in American Studies.
WINKIN' - Lars Eilers
Lars Eilers just finished his freshman year at Leander High and is excited to be in his second season with CPTC. He’s been performing in plays and musicals for over 4 years. He most recently had the honor of being a member of the ensemble of Leander High’s award winning production of Thoroughly Modern Millie and playing Mr. Banks in Buzz Productions’ Mary Poppins in Austin. Lars loves seeing live music, playing hockey, and hanging out on the lake. He’d like to thank Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Hearne and the entire Cedar Park Theatre Company family for this amazing opportunity.
BLINKIN' / TRUNCH - Lucy Allen
Lucy Allen is a sophmore enrolled at Vista Ridge high school! She is very excited for her first show as a part of Cedar Park Theatre Company, and would like to thank her amazing cast and wonderful director for the opportunity to grow as a part of Stone Soup! She's had a wonderful time working on the show and hopes everyone enjoys!
NOD - Ruby Morphis
Ruby Morphis is a student at Texas State University who is pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre and her minor in Psychology. She graduated from Austin Community College December 2018 with an Associate's of Art in Theatre and has been working at the Austin Playhouse theater since November 2018. During and after college, Ruby intends to continue her career as an actress and director while eventually building her own theater company. She has been in numerous shows throughout her high school career and throughout her college career. Some of her favorite roles have been Athena in Miss Electricity for the children’s show at Vista Ridge High School, Vandara in Gathering Blue for her high school theater’s UIL One Act competition, Moon in The Real Inspector Hound performed at ACC, and Melka/Irene in This Day Forward. She would like to give a special thanks to her family for supporting her life decisions. She would also like to thank Jerry Blake for the opportunity of being in this Cedar Park Theater Company’s production of Stone Soup and a thank you to everyone who worked so hard in this cast to make it a great show.
KAT - Lucky Cantu
LUCKY CANTU (Kat) , age 11, is excited to make her debut with Cedar Park Theatre. Since the age of 3, she has been working with and performing in local theatres and school productions, such as Zach Theatre, KidsActing, and Different Stages in roles including the Wicked Witch, Aladdin, Miss Hannigan, Helena, and Veruca Salt. Her most recent role was as Lise in The Magic Fire which was just nominated for Best Ensemble by the Austin Critics Table Awards. Having done stage, commercials, and film, she is happiest with a live audience and is excited to perform a story that she has loved for a long time about the importance of community!
CLARA / IVAN / VILLAGER - Jocelyn Adair
Jocelyn Adair has been performing in plays since elementary school. She is now an 8th grader at Henry middle school. She has been in many plays but this is her first Musical.
WORKER / VILLAGER - Yahva Yahel Westbrook
Yahva Westbook has performed since she was 8 years old. She has been a magician's assistant and competed in the ESU competition, performing Shakespeare's Sonnet 1, 2 and 3, and a monologue from Richard III as well as Rosalind's epilogue from As You Like It. She has acted in MacBeth as Menteith and the sergeant, Farce of Nature as Jenna Sealy, and Ebenezer's Journey as Belle. Yahva also studies Krav Maga, and Fencing.
The Crew
MUSICAL DIRECTOR - Cindy Brewer
Mrs. Brewer is a retired Middle School Choir director who now teaches piano. She loves to accompany UIL Choir competitions, High School Band and Choir Solo Competitions, Middle and High School concerts, Vocal Recitals, and church choirs. She is the accompanist for the Singing Women of Central Texas. She has participated in various musical theatre productions in the past, including last year’s summer musical with the Cedar Park Theatre Company.
She resides with her husband, mother, and the cutest dogs in Leander - Hattie, Chilee, and Falcon!
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR - Jeff Davis
Jeff Davis teaches Technical Theatre at Leander High School and has his B.A. in Theater from UCLA. Favorite projects include his work as playwright of The Yellow Wallpaper (Agape Theatre), director of Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks, Private Lives, Picnic, and Bonhoeffer’s Cost (Agape Theatre), projection designer for Rock of Ages(Georgetown Palace) and set designer for Shrek (Milam Community Theater), The Addams Family (Leander HS – GAHSMTA Nomination) and Thoroughly Modern Millie(Leander HS – GAHSMTA Nomination).
ASSISTANT / CHOREOGRAPHER- Matthew Kennedy
Matthew Kennedy has been very excited and honored to have been a part of this creative process! He is currently an acting major at Texas State University entering his 3rd year. Recent credits include: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Freddy) at Summerstock Austin, Cabaret (Kit Kat Boy Swing) at Texas State University, and Midsummer Nights Dream (Botton) at (the one and only) Cedar Park Theatre Company. This is Matthew’s second year being involved with CPTC and he would like to thank Jerry for giving him the opportunity to choreograph such a beautiful story. Coming up, see Matthew as Chef Louis in Zilker Hillside’s production of The Little Mermaid! Break legs everyone and enjoy some wonderful storytelling!
